Anglican Archbishop congratulates Prime Minister and state leaders on Eid al-Adha

Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria of the Anglican Episcopal Church, sent a congratulatory cable to His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, expressing his sincere greetings and best wishes on this blessed occasion.

The Archbishop stated in his message:

“I am pleased, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, to extend to Your Excellency my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes, praying that God may return this blessed occasion upon you and the Egyptian people with goodness, blessings, and prosperity, and that He may grant our nation the gift of security, stability, and peace.

We also pray that God grants you success in fulfilling your national responsibilities, and that this holiday brings goodness and prosperity to Egypt and its people.”

Archbishop Samy Fawzy also prayed that God grants the Prime Minister continued health and success, and blesses his sincere efforts in serving the nation and advancing development and progress, while preserving Egypt and its people in safety and peace.

The Archbishop also sent congratulatory cables on the occasion of Eid al-Adha to Dr. Ibrahim Saber Khalil, Governor of Cairo; Ambassador Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates; Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior; General Ashraf Salem Zahir, Minister of Defense and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces; and Counselor Hisham Badawi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, as well as a number of ministers, governors, and senior state officials.

In his messages, the Archbishop affirmed his appreciation for the spirit of national unity and affection that binds the Egyptian people together, expressing his hope that Eid al-Adha brings goodness, peace, and stability to Egypt and its people, and that the country continues to enjoy greater security and prosperity.
