Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria of the Anglican Episcopal Church, sent a congratulatory cable to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, expressing his sincere greetings and best wishes to the President and the Egyptian people on this blessed occasion.
The Archbishop affirmed, in his own name and on behalf of the clergy and people of the Province of Alexandria of the Anglican Church in Egypt, that Eid al-Adha carries noble meanings associated with love, giving, and peace. He also noted the importance of religious holidays and occasions in strengthening values of fraternity, cooperation, and coexistence among all citizens of the nation.
In the text of the message, Archbishop Samy Fawzy said:
“On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, I am pleased to extend to Your Excellency my warmest congratulations and sincerest best wishes, praying that God may return it to you and your esteemed family with goodness, blessings, peace, and happiness, and that He may grant continued security and prosperity to our beloved nation.”
The Archbishop also prayed that God grants President El-Sisi continued health and success, and blesses his sincere efforts in leading the country toward further progress and prosperity. He further prayed that Egypt and its people remain in peace and safety, and expressed his hope that Eid al-Adha may return upon Egypt and the entire world with goodness and blessings, and that peace based on mercy, justice, and love may prevail among all peoples.
