Established 2023
Our Story
SWA Center was founded by Rev. Adel Touma and his wife, Rania. Rev. Adel was a priest in the Diocese of Egypt, serving his Lord faithfully and devotedly until he went to his eternal home at a young age in 2024.
This center was established in response to many prayers. God allowed their two daughters, Miracle and Mercy, to be blind from a young age, which ignited their dream of creating a center to serve them and others with visual impairments. When the family moved to serve in the church in Suez, they could not find any services that fulfilled their dream. The Lord answered their prayers and provided the financial support needed to start their own service for the blind in Suez.
SWA is an acronym from the end of our motto, “Surely We Arrive.” Today, the center employs six teachers and six staff members and serves 30 students aged 9 to 17 years old.
