About Us
The Episcopal/Anglican Province of Alexandria was inaugurated in May 2020 under the leadership of Archbishop Mouneer Anis. It takes its name from the original papal seat of Alexandria, founded by St. Mark the Evangelist in AD 42.
Spanning 10 countries and over 30% of the continent of Africa, it is one of the most diverse provinces in the Anglican Communion. It is a profound privilege to serve God's mission in a region so rich in Christian heritage, where faith continues to take root and flourish amidst diverse cultures and histories.
