The Rt. Rev. Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Episcopal/Anglican Province of Alexandria, extended his heartfelt congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt; His Eminence Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif; His Eminence Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt; Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Religious Endowments; the country’s state officials; and the Egyptian people on the occasion of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday.
The Archbishop emphasized that this occasion reaffirms the feelings of love and affection shared among the people of one nation. He noted that religious holidays and occasions provide an opportunity to exchange congratulations and reaffirm the spirit of fellowship and closeness among Egyptians, reflecting the cohesion and unity that characterize Egyptian society.
The Archbishop concluded his message by praying to God to renew this blessed occasion with goodness, prosperity, and blessings for President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, His Eminence Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, all state officials, the Muslim community, and the Egyptian people. He also prayed that God would protect Egypt and its people, guide its leadership toward the nation’s welfare and prosperity, and preserve the country’s blessings of security, peace, and stability.
