The Rt. Rev. Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Episcopal/Anglican Province of Alexandria, received today at his office at All Saints’ Cathedral in Zamalek Estira Milad Shokrallah, a graduate of the Deaf Education Unit at Al-Narden Association, to celebrate her graduation from the Faculty of Specific Education at Ain Shams University, where she earned a “Very Good” grade in the Home Economics Department.

During the meeting, Archbishop Samy Fawzy honored Estira in recognition of her academic excellence and graduation. She was among the top students nationwide in the Egyptian General Secondary Education Certificate examination and went on to pursue her university studies at the Faculty of Specific Education at Ain Shams University, graduating this year with a “Very Good” grade.

The meeting was attended by Estira’s mother, Hanaa Ibrahim, along with Madalyn Soustanis, Director of the Education Sector; Sherry Nabil, Director of the Deaf Education Unit; Claire Ghais Abdel-Malek, Education Consultant, Deaf Trainer, and Interpreter; and Thanaa, an accountant at Al-Narden Association for the Deaf.

Estira’s educational journey is a continuation of her experience at the Deaf Education Unit at Al-Narden Association, which supported her in continuing her education through university and ultimately graduating with a “Very Good” grade.

The Episcopal/Anglican Church is committed to supporting educational services for deaf students and providing them with opportunities to pursue their education, develop their abilities, and achieve their aspirations.
