The Rt. Rev. Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Episcopal/Anglican Province of Alexandria, attended the graduation ceremony for third-year preparatory school students at the Episcopal School in Menouf. The ceremony was also attended by Madeleine Soustanis, Director of Education at the Diocese, Magdy Abou El-Saad, School Principal, and Canon Rev. Medhat Sabry, Rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Menouf.

Archbishop Samy Fawzy congratulated the students on their success and outstanding academic performance, emphasizing that their achievements were made possible through God’s grace, as well as the effort they had invested, alongside the significant role played by the school and their parents in supporting and encouraging them throughout their studies.

The Archbishop said that the students’ success is not the end of the road, but rather the beginning of a new journey and the beginning of the dreams they aspire to achieve. He encouraged the students to continue working hard and striving to accomplish their future ambitions and dreams.

The Archbishop also expressed his appreciation to School Principal Magdy Abou El-Saad for his great efforts in serving the students and advancing the educational process. He likewise commended all the teachers and staff for their dedication and for the efforts they make to support the students and their educational journey.

He noted that the school is among the best schools in Menoufia Governorate, expressing his pride in the achievements of its students, particularly the fact that three students achieved a 100% success rate in the Preparatory Certificate examination. He emphasized that this achievement is a source of pride for both the school and the Episcopal/Anglican Diocese.

During the ceremony, the school’s activities team presented a number of outstanding artistic and sports performances, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration. The ceremony also included the honoring of the top-performing students in the Preparatory Certificate examination in recognition of their academic excellence.

The ceremony was attended by Sami Sorour, Head of Menouf City Council; Abdel Halim Zidan, Director General of the Menouf Educational Administration; Osama El-Fishawy, Member of the Senate; Maha El-Ghamriny, Director of Private Education; Hoda Suleiman, Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Trustees; as well as a number of supervisors from the Menouf Educational Administration.

The Episcopal School in Menouf was established approximately 135 years ago as part of the Episcopal Church’s commitment to providing comprehensive services to Egyptian society, including spiritual, educational, health, and social services. The school represents a practical model of the Church’s role in serving the community by providing education and contributing to human development, reflecting the Episcopal Church’s commitment to active participation in Egypt’s journey of nation-building and development.
