During the Easter Celebration for the Deaf Ministry: Archbishop: God Is Always Present in All Events and Circumstances

During the

Today, Archbishop Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Alexandria Province of the Episcopal/Anglican Church, participated in the Easter celebration of the Deaf Ministry fellowship, held under the theme “Our Hearts See God” at All Saints’ Episcopal Cathedral in Zamalek. The event was attended by the Very Rev. Hany Shenouda, Dean of the Cathedral, and Rev. Mody Habib, a priest of the diocese.

In his address, the Archbishop said that in John 20 it becomes clear that the presence of Christ in the midst of human life is the true foundation of faith, affirming that God is always present in all events and circumstances. He noted that throughout the Bible, Christ is always found in the center: with the three young men in the fiery furnace, at His birth when shepherds and Magi gathered around Him, in the temple among the teachers, and even on the cross where He was placed in the middle. This image teaches us to make Christ the center of everything we do in our lives.

He added that the presence of Christ in the center gives a person true peace with God, removing feelings of guilt and restoring communion with the Creator. It also brings inner peace that calms anxiety and fear, filling the heart with reassurance regardless of circumstances. Furthermore, it extends to peace with others, as a person learns to forgive, love, and act with humility and gentleness. Christ also fills life with a true joy that does not depend on external circumstances or changes but comes from deep within the heart, enabling a person to remain steadfast even amid trials and challenges.

He continued that the presence of Christ in a person’s life also provides purpose and strength for living, as God calls each person to a genuine service and clear mission. When Christ is at the center, a person becomes capable of fulfilling this calling. The Holy Spirit also grants inner strength for an active spiritual life, guiding the whole life and granting peace, joy, strength, and purpose to live each day.
