Archbishop Dr. Sami Fawzy, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria of the Episcopal Anglican Church, participated in a youth spiritual meeting titled “Raayeh Gaye” (Going and Coming), organized by the Episcopal Church in cooperation with the Evangelistic Commission Ministry. The event featured evangelist Emile Fawzy and worship leader Samuel Farouk, and was attended by Rev. Canon Hany Shenouda, Dean of All Saints’ Episcopal Cathedral.
The Archbishop welcomed the participants, saying:
“I welcome you all to All Saints’ Cathedral and thank the Lord for your presence and participation today. I also thank Him for this blessed gathering from different places and churches, reflecting a beautiful image of fellowship and love. We pray that this day will be a blessing to each one of us, and that the Lord will fill our hearts with His peace and joy.”
Evangelist Emile Fawzy said in his message:
“When we come to Christ, we find Him opening His arms to embrace us in love. He is the One with all authority, yet He does not condemn us for our sins; instead, He forgives us when we come to Him with a repentant heart. The love of Christ surrounds us today and calls us to surrender our lives to Him, saying, ‘Lord, direct my steps as You will.’ We come to hide in Your blood, O Lord, seeking Your full salvation, for we are not destined for loss but belong to a great God who redeemed us by His blood on the cross. Therefore we declare with confidence: ‘Behold, God is with us as leader, and His priests with sounding trumpets for praise among you.’”
The gathering was attended by several clergy members, including Rev. Hamed Sidqi, pastor of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Sadat City; Rev. Emile Nabiya, pastor of Jesus Light of the World Episcopal Church in Old Cairo; Rev. Hany Samir, pastor of Christ the Savior Episcopal Church in 6th of October City; Rev. Reda Bishry, pastor of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Ezbet El-Nakhl; and Rev. Moody Habib of All Saints’ Cathedral in Zamalek.
The event reflected a strong emphasis on spiritual renewal, unity among churches, and encouragement for young people to deepen their faith and commitment to Christ.
