The Episcopal Church, led by Archbishop Dr. Sami Fawzy, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria of the Anglican Church, extends its sincere congratulations and best wishes to the newly appointed governors and deputy governors on the occasion of taking the constitutional oath of office today before His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Environment. The Church wishes them success and wisdom in carrying out their national responsibilities in service of the country and its citizens.
The Archbishop added that the current stage requires the collective efforts of all sectors of society and a spirit of national responsibility to help achieve comprehensive development and improve the quality of life for citizens across all governorates. He emphasized the important role that governors and their deputies play in implementing the state’s development plans and supporting the nation’s path toward growth and stability.
He further affirmed that the Church lifts its prayers for God to grant wisdom and discernment to all those entrusted with serving the nation, foremost among them His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He prayed that God would bless their efforts for the good of Egypt and its people and enable them to fulfill their responsibilities with integrity and dedication, promoting justice, development, and social peace.
The Archbishop also expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the governors who have been reappointed to continue in their positions, noting that the renewal of confidence in their leadership reflects appreciation for their efforts in serving citizens and advancing development within their governorates during the previous term.
In addition, he extended his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the former governors for their faithful service during their time in office, recognizing their dedication, hard work, and contributions to serving citizens and supporting development initiatives throughout the country.
