Archbishop Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Anglican Province of Alexandria, extends his heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and to Dr. Ahmed El-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, as well as to all Islamic leaders and the people of Egypt on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. He prays that this blessed occasion returns to Egypt with goodness and blessings.
The Archbishop said:
“We share with our Muslim brothers and sisters the joy of this blessed occasion. We pray that God may return this feast upon our country and the entire world with goodness, peace, and love, and that He may grant all our peoples the grace of understanding and cooperation for a future marked by justice and mercy.”
The Archbishop concluded by offering his congratulations to Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister; Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo; Counselor Hanafy El Gebaly, Speaker of the House of Representatives; Dr. Nazir Ayad, Secretary-General of Al-Azhar’s Islamic Research Academy; Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Awqaf; and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Dayem, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. He expressed his hope that God may grant them success in their service to the nation.
