Jesus Light of the World Episcopal Church Wins First and Second Place in Football Tournament
Archbishop Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria of the Episcopal Church, participated in the award ceremony for the Deaf Football Tournament, which was held at the sports fields of Jesus Light of the World Episcopal Church in Old Cairo.
Teams of deaf players from various governorates and all Christian denominations across Egypt took part in the competition. The Episcopal Church team achieved a remarkable accomplishment by securing both first and second place.
The same team had also won first and second place in last year’s tournament, reflecting a continued level of excellence and distinction. The team was led by Reverend Clement Alphonse, pastor of the Episcopal Church for the Deaf, along with lay minister Magid Hanna.
