Head of the Episcopal Church Participates in Christmas Mass in the Capital

Today, Dr. Sami Fawzy, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria of the Anglican Episcopal Church, participated in the Christmas Mass prayers to convey greetings to His Holiness Pope Pope Tawadros II of St. Mark. The service was held at Nativity of Christ Cathedral in the New Administrative Capital, with the participation of Rev. Yeshua Bekhit, Secretary General of the Egyptian Council of Churches, and Rev. Faiz Nady, pastor of the Episcopal Diocese.

Archbishop Dr. Sami Fawzy extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, wishing him continued health and strength, and prayed that God bless this joyous occasion for His Holiness, for the Church, and for beloved Egypt with abundant peace and love. He emphasized the hope that Egypt and its churches continue to shine as symbols of love, unity, and fraternity.

He added: “On this blessed occasion, as we welcome the new year 2026 with renewed hope, we lift our hearts in prayer for our dear homeland, Egypt. We also pray for His Excellency President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and all those in leadership positions, asking God to grant them wisdom in governance and insight in decision-making, so that all their steps may serve the good of the people, the peace of the nation, and its prosperity.”
