Cairo – Monday, June 29, 2026
The Most Rev. Dr. Sami Fawzy, Archbishop of the Episcopal/Anglican Province of Alexandria and Archbishop in Egypt, extends, on his own behalf and on behalf of all the clergy, deacons, and members of the Episcopal Church, his heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and to the people of Egypt on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the June 30 Revolution.
Archbishop Fawzy affirmed that this national occasion will remain a defining milestone in Egypt’s modern history, as it reflected the determination of the Egyptian people to preserve the identity of the nation, safeguard its institutions, and uphold the values of citizenship and national unity, thereby contributing to the country’s continued stability and development.
The Archbishop noted that the Episcopal Church appreciates Egypt’s ongoing efforts to achieve comprehensive development through major national projects, while promoting the principles of peaceful coexistence and strengthening a culture of mutual respect and acceptance. These efforts, he said, reflect the State’s commitment to building a more prosperous future for all citizens without discrimination.
He added that the anniversary of June 30 provides an opportunity to renew the shared commitment to working for the good of the nation and to reaffirm the values of peace, love, and cooperation. He emphasized that Egypt’s strength has always rested—and will continue to rest—in the unity of its people, their solidarity in facing challenges, and their support for the nation’s journey of growth and development.
Archbishop Fawzy also highlighted the Episcopal Church’s ongoing mission to serve society by promoting dialogue, encouraging mutual understanding and acceptance, and fostering the values of peace and love. He affirmed the Church’s conviction that investing in people is the true foundation of nation-building, and that cooperation among all citizens is essential to creating a more stable and prosperous society.
The statement concluded with prayers that God would continue to bless and protect Egypt, its leadership, and its people; grant President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi wisdom and success as he continues the nation’s path of development and progress; preserve the blessings of peace and security throughout the country; and bless the efforts of all who work faithfully for a brighter future for generations to come, so that Egypt may continue to be a land of peace and coexistence, and a model of national unity under one flag, founded on justice and peace.
