Christmas Trees and Lights Adorn the Episcopal Cathedral Ahead of the Festive Mass

All Saints’ Cathedral was decorated with Christmas trees and lights in preparation for the glorious Feast of the Nativity, just hours before the Christmas Mass presided over by Sami Fawzy, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria of the Anglican Church. The service will be held in both Arabic and English to serve Egyptians and expatriates, in addition to sign language interpretation for the deaf.

The Archbishop is expected shortly to receive a number of distinguished guests and representatives sent by the state and Al-Azhar to offer their Christmas greetings.

The Christmas Mass is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. today, following the ringing of the cathedral bells announcing the start of prayers, as the Episcopal Church celebrates Christmas according to the Western calendar.

In recent days, the Episcopal Church held its annual Christmas Carol Service at All Saints’ Cathedral in Zamalek. This candlelit celebration, organized each year before Christmas, featured a collection of carols in both Arabic and English.
