On Its 120th Anniversary: The Episcopal Church Celebrates the Renovation of Its Publishing House and Launches New Services for Readers

Today, the Episcopal Church celebrated the 120th anniversary of the founding of the Episcopal Publishing House. Archbishop Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Anglican/Episcopal Province of Alexandria, inaugurated the renovated publishing house after comprehensive restoration and development efforts aimed at improving services and expanding outreach to readers. The event was attended by Mr. Moheb Naim, Director of the Media and Culture Sector of the Diocese, and Ms. Jacqueline Fathy, Director of the Publishing House.

During the inauguration, the Archbishop stated:
“I thank God with deep gratitude for 120 years of spreading knowledge and spiritual influence. The Episcopal Publishing House is a cornerstone of the Episcopal Church’s ministry, as it is our means of speaking to society through the written word, which holds great power and impact.”

He continued:
“We are always keen for the published books to carry profound spiritual content that touches hearts and nourishes faith. We believe that developing the Publishing House is a vital priority for us as a Church, so it remains a shining sign of the service the Episcopal Church provides in Egypt.”

Mr. Moheb Naim also commented:
“We are entering a new phase of ministry by launching new publications that meet human needs. These include works on biblical studies, materials addressing life skills from a Christian perspective, resources that help readers process emotions through biblical teachings, and specialized theological books.”

Among the new services introduced by the Publishing House is a home delivery service to make publications more accessible. Additionally, readers can now browse and purchase books online through their official platform, “The Episcopal Publishing House.”

It is worth mentioning that the Episcopal Publishing House was established in 1905 and has since published hundreds of Christian books, both translated and originally written in Arabic. Its library was inaugurated in 1995 and currently holds over 100 titles. The Publishing House continues to spread spiritual knowledge and deepen the understanding of God through its publications, serving as a source of blessing for all who engage with it.
