All Saints’ Episcopal Cathedral in Zamalek was illuminated today with festive lights in celebration of the Glorious Feast of Easter, just hours before the start of the Easter service presided over by Archbishop Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Alexandria Province of the Episcopal/Anglican Church.
The Easter Holy Eucharist is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. today, after the ringing of the cathedral bells to announce the start of the service. The Church has also provided a live broadcast of the Easter liturgy via the official page of the Episcopal Church in Egypt, along with sign language interpretation for the Deaf and hard of hearing.
It is worth noting that the Province of Alexandria of the Episcopal Church is the 41st province in the worldwide Anglican Communion and includes under its jurisdiction 10 countries: Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia, Chad, and Mauritania. The province is headed by Archbishop Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Alexandria Province of the Episcopal Church.
