About Us
The Centre of Christian Muslim Understanding and Partnership (CCMUP) was inaugurated in June 2022, in the Episcopal-Anglican Diocese of Egypt, with the support of H.E. the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar al-Sharif, to combat extremism, violence and fundamentalism by promoting peace, tolerance, inclusion and mutual understanding in Egyptian society and beyond.
- Promote positive peace, and genuine tolerance and cooperation between different faith communities via projects that advance a nuanced understanding of faiths and cultures, for the common good.
- To support the Church, acting as its engaging diplomatic arm with society.
To advance our mission, we focus on three primary areas:
1. Academic interfaith studies,
2. Community initiatives,
3. Peace-building and conflict resolution projects.

We envision a society that enjoys positive peace and harmony between different faith communities through advancing a deep understanding of faiths, cultures and by working together for the common good.Our Mission
