
The Archbishop said: “We take this opportunity to pray for our President, Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and for all those responsible for decision-making, that God may grant them wisdom and discernment in leading the country, especially during these critical times in which the region is filled with conflicts and challenges.”
He added: “On this occasion, as we celebrate, we do not forget to lift our prayers for the brotherly people of Sudan, the people of Lebanon, our brothers in the Gulf countries, and all peoples of the region who have been affected by the ongoing wars in the Middle East, asking God to lift from them the effects of war, to fill the region with His peace, and to protect their peoples and lands from all harm.”
He continued: “In my personal name, and on behalf of the Synod of the Province of Alexandria of the Episcopal/Anglican Church in Egypt, and on behalf of all bishops, priests, and members of the Church in Egypt and abroad, I extend sincere thanks and appreciation to all who have sent greetings for the Glorious Feast of the Resurrection.
