Today, Archbishop Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Alexandria Province of the Episcopal/Anglican Church, and Rev. Yeshua Bekhit, Secretary General of the Egypt Council of Churches, participated in a Thanksgiving Mass organized by the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate.
The liturgy was presided over by His Excellency Bishop Krikor Augustinos Coussa, Armenian Catholic Bishop of Alexandria, and was held on the occasion of the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of the Annunciation, as well as the centennial celebration of the cathedral’s consecration.
Archbishop Dr. Samy Fawzy expressed his sincere appreciation to Bishop Krikor Augustinos Coussa for the gracious invitation and warm hospitality. He emphasized that this celebration is not merely a commemoration of one hundred years since the cathedral’s consecration, but also a reflection of a continuing journey of faith and of God’s ongoing work through His Church across generations.
The Archbishop further noted that the occasion serves as a renewed call to continue the Church’s spiritual and humanitarian mission in service to society and to promote the values of love, peace, and mutual understanding among all people.
