All Saints’ Cathedral in Zamalek, in collaboration with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Orchestra and the Australian Embassy in Egypt, hosted a concert for Australian composer Lee Bradshaw, titled “To Those Left Behind,” conducted by Maestro Nayer Nagui. The event was attended by Archbishop Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria of the Episcopal/Anglican Church, and Dr. Axel Wabenhorst, Ambassador of Australia to Egypt.
Archbishop Samy Fawzy welcomed the attendees, expressing the Church’s deep appreciation for the value of art and culture. He emphasized that music carries a message of love, hope, and faith — even amid wars and divisions, art remains a call for peace. “Today, we gather to enjoy and celebrate this art,” he said.
The concert featured performances by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Orchestra, the Youth Orchestra, and the Cairo Celebration Choir, with soloists Dina Iskandar (soprano), Thalie Knights (mezzo-soprano), Reham Mahmoud (viola), and Alexander Stefanovski (bass). The Youth Orchestra was trained by Shady Abdel Salam, and the choir was conducted by Donia Daghidi.
