Today, Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Anglican Province of Alexandria, took part in the celebration of the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday, held at the Al-Manara International Conference Center.
The event was attended by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt; Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister; His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif; Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Awqaf; and Dr. Nazir Ayad, Grand Mufti of Egypt.
The Archbishop expressed his joy at participating in this distinguished celebration, which brought together senior state officials and religious leaders, describing it as an opportunity to extend heartfelt congratulations to the great people of Egypt on the occasion of the Prophet’s Birthday. He prayed that Almighty God may continue to bless Egypt with goodness, peace, and stability.
He added that this celebration sends a message of love and tolerance, reflecting the unity and cohesion of the Egyptian people. The Archbishop emphasized that such religious occasions reaffirm the shared values that unite all Egyptians—Muslims and Christians alike—in one nation that continually strives for peace, harmony, and progress.
