In the Presence of the Archbishop of the Episcopal Church… Bridges Center Organizes the “Happiness Street” Orchestra Concert

The Bridges Cultural Center, affiliated with the Episcopal/Anglican Church, organized the Happiness Street Orchestra concert at All Saints’ Cathedral, attended by Archbishop Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Anglican Province of Alexandria, Dean Hany Shenouda, Dean of the Cathedral, and Randy Hany, Director of the Center.

Archbishop Dr. Samy Fawzy welcomed the attendees, emphasizing the Church’s deep appreciation for the value of art and culture — a principle that inspired the founding of Bridges Center.

This concert crowned an intensive three-month workshop focused on orchestral ensemble training in the Western classical orchestral formation, under the direction of Maestro David Atef.

The Happiness Street Orchestra is composed entirely of amateur musicians who perform international classical pieces. The orchestra brings together players of different ages and backgrounds who unite to perform in a professional and artistic manner.

It is worth noting that the vision of Bridges Cultural Center is to build bridges of love among all members of society, regardless of their cultural or social background, through art, music, and culture.

The Center’s activities include art performances such as music, theatre, musical theatre, film screenings, storytelling performances, and children’s shows. It also organizes workshops in various art forms including theatre, photography, sign language, animation, Arabic calligraphy, sculpture, drawing, short films, music, acting, mime, and storytelling.
Additionally, it hosts art exhibitions, book discussions, and seminars on philosophy, psychology, and positive parenting.
