The Episcopal Church’s Deaf Unit Launches Secondary Academic Education Stage

The Nardine Association for Social Services, affiliated with the Episcopal Church, has announced the launch of a new academic stage at the Deaf Unit, which now includes first and second secondary grades. This step comes as part of the association’s ongoing efforts to provide comprehensive educational opportunities for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, supporting their academic journey.

This development follows the association’s previous work in offering academic education from kindergarten through preparatory stage, and now extends to secondary education, opening broader horizons for the students.

In addition to academic education, the association also provides a range of vocational training programs, such as sewing, carpentry, accessories making, and khayamiya (traditional tent-making).
It also offers various extracurricular activities including football, drawing, computer skills, and educational and recreational trips aimed at developing students’ abilities and nurturing their talents.

As part of its preparations for the new school year, the Nardine Association has announced the organization of a sports day for football, encouraging teamwork and supporting educational and athletic activities within the association.
