The Episcopal School in Menouf Celebrates the Graduation of Third Preparatory Students

Yesterday, The Most Reverend Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria of the Episcopal/Anglican Church, participated in the graduation ceremony of the third preparatory grade students at the Episcopal School in Menouf. The event was attended by Ms. Madeline Soustanys, Director of the Education Sector in the Diocese; Mr. Magdy Abou El-Saad, the School Principal; and Canon Rev. Medhat Sabry.

The Archbishop expressed his joy on this special occasion, describing it as a significant milestone in the students’ lives and the fruit of great effort and dedication. He encouraged the graduates to approach the next stage of their journey with determination and faith, while preserving the values and principles that form the foundation of their character and future.

During the ceremony, a variety of artistic and sports performances prepared by the school’s activities team were presented, creating an atmosphere of joy and encouragement. The event also included honoring the top achievers in the preparatory certificate in recognition of their excellence, as well as honoring the school’s teachers and a number of retiring staff members in appreciation of their years of service and dedication.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Abdel Halim Zeidan, General Director of Menouf Educational Administration; Mr. Walid Salem, Head of Menouf City Council; Major General Alaa Azab, Chief of Menouf Police Station; Ms. Maha El-Ghamriny, Director of Private Education in Menouf; Dr. Samir Rizkallah, Director of Hermel Memorial Hospital in Menouf; Mrs. Janet Shamy, Principal of Al-Manara School; Mr. Ihab Ibrahim Malek, Chairman of the Parents Council of Menouf Educational Administration; Mr. Mohamed El-Kott, Chairman of the School’s Board of Trustees; along with a group of educational supervisors from Menouf Administration.

It is worth noting that the Episcopal School was founded 135 years ago as part of the Episcopal Church’s mission in Egypt to serve the community through its institutions—focusing on the spiritual and moral growth of individuals while addressing educational, health, and social needs. Thus, the Episcopal School in Menouf stands as a living bridge connecting the Church to society, actively participating in Egypt’s ongoing journey of development and progress.
