Today, Archbishop Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria of the Anglican Episcopal Church, participated in the Global South Fellowship of Anglicans (GSFA) Conference, which brings together a diverse group of bishops and clergy from various countries. The event is being held at All Saints’ Cathedral in Zamalek.
Representatives from episcopal provinces around the world shared updates from their dioceses and the unique challenges each region faces, in addition to the pressing issues confronting the Anglican Church. They also presented their mission efforts and spiritual and social activities within their local communities, along with strategies for further development.
The Global South Conference aims to strengthen collaboration between Episcopal churches and address common concerns. It also provides an opportunity for bishops and church representatives to exchange experiences and insights.
The conference is scheduled to continue over several days, featuring dialogue sessions and workshops that aim to establish a shared vision for serving the Church around the world.
