Together for Egypt installs two fish farming units in Alexandria

Together we develop Egypt project managed to install two fish farming units in the Juvenile Welfare Institution in Alexandria (House of Social Education for Boys’ Welfare) in partnership with the Al-Farah Foundation for Development.

On his behalf, Ramez Bekhit, project coordinator, said that the project will spare no effort to share with society and civil society institutions any support to bring about change in the youth community.

Bekhit affirmed the desire of Archbishop Samy, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria, to complete the project, in cooperation with the Ministry of Manpower and the Ministry of Social Solidarity in the governorate of Alexandria and care and shelter homes.

Rev. David Aziz, Dean of St. Mark’s Cathedral in Alexandria, expressed his happiness that the Together we develop Egypt project drew a smile on the children’s faces and constituted a good step to bring about a change in the behavior of the children of the care institution.

Ayman Mahmoud, director of the Foundation, pointed out that this project does not only benefit the Foundation, but also the children and their behavior.

Yasser Said, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Manpower in Alexandria, indicated his admiration for the project’s initiative (fish farming) and its importance for helping young people and temporary workers.

Today was attended by Reverend David Aziz, Dean of St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral, Counselor Yasser Saeed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Manpower in Alexandria, Mushira Saleh, Director of the Criminal Justice Program at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Dr. Ahmed Zkaileh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mustafa Kamel Association, who is entrusted with the foundation, and Ms. Manal Abdullah, a representative of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Solidarity. Social Doctor Magda Galala.

The project is scheduled to include a set of initiatives and events in the governorates of Cairo, Alexandria, Minya, and the cities of Sadat and Menouf in the Menoufia Governorate.

The project aims to establish strong and real relationships and friendships between young people, develop their capabilities and raise their cultural and civilizational awareness, in addition to the participation of trainees together in implementing practical initiatives that benefit their local communities, with the aim of reaching a degree of integration and quality of work through communication with government agencies and community organizations.
