The Manara Center organizes artistic and poetry performances for children with disabilities

Al-Manara center for Children with Disabilities in Menouf, affiliated to the Episcopal/Anglican Church, hosted the students of the Martyr Pilot Mohamed Sami Gado School and the Gifted and Intelligent Learning Department of the Menouf Educational Administration on an entertaining day inside the stadium of the Episcopal School in Menouf.

On her behalf, Janet Shamey, director of the center, said in a statement issued today: The students participated in presenting various segments of poetry and singing performances, as the day included the attendance of 16 children from the school and 30 children from Al-Manara Center, in addition to the teachers and mentors who came and supervised the day.

The day aimed at consolidating relations and cooperation between the joint parties, integrating into society, and developing children’s cognitive and motor skills.

Al-Manara School for Children with Disabilities in Menouf works to provide educational programs in and around Menouf to improve their academic, social, and personal skills, in addition to providing support to their parents.

Al-Manara Center for People with Special Needs is a center affiliated with the Episcopal Foundation for Social Services (Episcocare), which is the Samaritan’s arm of the Episcopal/ Anglican Church in Egypt. The Foundation manages the development centers and institutions and social services affiliated with the Episcopal/Anglican Church in Egypt.

In the year 2003, the institution was officially registered with the Ministry of Social Solidarity to support people with special needs and provide rehabilitation and education services for them after the church noticed the lack of these services in the city of Menouf, Menoufia Governorate.
