The future Archbishop of Kadugli: Continuing cooperation in theological education

Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria of the Episcopal/ Anglican Church in Egypt, with North Africa and the Horn of Africa, received Archbishop Andodo Adam El-Nile, Bishop of Kadugli diocese in the Sudanese Nuba Mountains, at the headquarters of All Saints Cathedral in Zamalek.

The Episcopal/Anglican Church said in a statement today that the Bishop of Kadugli congratulated Archbishop Samy on his inauguration as Archbishop of the Episcopal/Anglican Province of Alexandria, stressing the need for continued joint cooperation between Alexandria and Kadugli Diocese.

On his behalf, Archbishop Samy Fawzy said that the visit aimed to consolidate cooperation frameworks in all areas of common interest, especially theological education, through the Alexandria School of Theology with its branches that serve all nationalities, in addition to the Nuba Mountains Institute for Theological Education in Egypt, which was established in 2013 at the request of service leaders in Sudanese society. In Egypt, within the Church of Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal/Anglican church in Heliopolis, it offers a three-year program focusing on the study of the Bible and management techniques in addition to a recently added one-year intensive study program for priests from within the diocese of Kadugli.
