The Episcopal/Anglican Church signs a cooperation protocol with the Embassy of Japan to develop the Deaf unit and hard of hearing.
Today, Dr. Mouneer Hanna, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria of the Episcopal/ Anglican Church signed a cooperation protocol with Mr. “Nuki Masaki”, the Japanese ambassador in Cairo, to develop the buildings of the Deaf unit of the Al-Nardin Association for Social Services in the Episcopal/Anglican Church.
Bishop Mouneer said: The Deaf unit professionally trains children and youth with special needs in addition to basic education, and the deaf unit is concerned with teaching sign language to children and their families so that they can communicate well between each other and the rest of society.
The bishop added: The vocational training aims to help young men and women with hearing impairment to carry out productive projects that help them lead a decent life.
The bishop explained: There is also a partnership between the Nardin association and the Misr El-Kheir Foundation in the field of caring for the deaf and hard of hearing.
