The Episcopal/Anglican Church: Precautionary measures for the Holy Week prayers and the Easter service.
The Episcopal/Anglican Church in Egypt announced the details of preparing for the feasts in light of the Corona pandemic
Dr. Mouneer Hanna, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria, confirmed to the Episcopal/Anglican Church in a statement that the church decided to hold the celebrations of the Glorious Easter and Holy Week, taking into account the necessary precautionary measures and following the instructions of the Egyptian Ministry of Health.
– Entry is not permitted without masks
– Measuring the temperature upon entry in addition to providing disinfectants for worshipers
-Cleanse and sterilize the church before and after worship
-Sitting in specific seats that take into account the social distancing between worshipers
-Providing additional halls with screens for carrying prayers to take into account social distancing
– Holy Week services and Easter prayers are live broadcasted through the Facebook page of the Episcopal/Anglican Church
– The Episcopal/Anglican Church appeals to its people to note any symptoms that appear before attending prayers and whether this necessitates staying at home.
