The Episcopal/Anglican church mourning Makram Mohamed Ahmed: a symbol of Egyptian journalism and national responsibility
Dr. Mouneer Hanna Anis, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria, mourned the journalist writer Makram Muhammad Ahmed, the former president of the Supreme Council for Media and the former Syndicate of Journalists, who passed away today
Hanna said in a statement: Egypt today lost one of the symbols of the Egyptian press, as the late deceased spent his life in journalistic work in its various forms, whether in writing, in his trade union role, or by what he presented in the Supreme Council for Media, which was his last stop before his death. That he filled
Hanna concluded that the Episcopal/Anglican Church prays that God grant his family, his students, and his loved one’s patience and comfort in his departure.
