The Episcopal/Anglican church mourning Makram Mohamed Ahmed: a symbol of Egyptian journalism and national responsibility

Dr. Mouneer Hanna Anis, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria, mourned the journalist writer Makram Muhammad Ahmed, the former president of the Supreme Council for Media and the former Syndicate of Journalists, who passed away today

Hanna said in a statement: Egypt today lost one of the symbols of the Egyptian press, as the late deceased spent his life in journalistic work in its various forms, whether in writing, in his trade union role, or by what he presented in the Supreme Council for Media, which was his last stop before his death. Hanna concluded that the Episcopal/Anglican Church prays that God grant his family, his students, and his loved one’s patience and comfort in his departure.
