The EpiscoCare Foundation participates in the activities of the 16 awareness days to combat violence against women

The EpiscoCare Foundation for Social Services participated today, Thursday, in the activities of the first awareness seminar for the project “Your Protection in Your Law” within the activities of the National Council for Women, to celebrate the 16 days of awareness of combating violence against women, based on the Council’s interest in the issues of women with disabilities and enabling them to access their rights, and achieve the principle of equality and parity Opportunities and highlight these rights.

The Episcopal/Anglican Church stated in a statement: The EpiscoCare Foundation participated in the meeting, represented by Dr. Maged Moussa, Director General of the Foundation, along with :

Janet Shamie, Director of Al-Manara Center for Children with Disabilities in Menouf, and Ibrahim Nagy, Director of Programs at the Foundation, in addition to the participation of Dr. Mary Ishaq, Director of the Nardin Foundation for the Care of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Old Egypt. The meeting was held through the Zoom program

The church statement added: The lectures included a hearing session that included a number of associations working with women with disabilities to discuss the difficulties and problems that hinder their access to their rights, the types of violence and discrimination, and in particular the psychological violence they are subjected to, in order to produce messages directed to the entire community, including governmental and non-governmental institutions, and women with a disability and their families.

It is worth noting that the EpiscoCare Foundation for Social Services has been a member of the NGO Committee of the National Council for Women since 2016
