The Cathedral of All Saints has just started the Christmas mass, which is headed by Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Episcopal/Anglican Province of Alexandria
As part of the feast mass rites, the Archbishop called all the faithful to begin the prayer of readiness after the cathedral choir sang, “Today Christ was born, today the Savior has come, glory to God in the highest.” This is a happy day, let the peoples rejoice.
In the prayer of preparation, those present chanted:
Our God is omnipotent
Who has everything exposed
Every desire is known to him, and nothing is hidden from him
Purify the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit
Let’s love you completely
And we glorify your holy name.
It is worth noting that the church imposed strict precautionary measures due to the Coronavirus, in which it was keen to provide disinfectants and masks for all worshipers and to observe social distancing.
The Episcopal/Anglican Church was decorated with Christmas trees and Christmas lights hours before the start of the feast mass, which is headed by Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria, in both Arabic and English to serve Egyptians and foreigners.
