The Archbishop congratulates the Egyptians with the Police Day and the anniversary of the January Revolution
Dr. Mouneer Hanna Anis, Archbishop of Province of Alexandria, congratulated the Episcopal/Anglican Church to the masses of Egyptians on the Police Day and the anniversary of the January 25 Revolution
Hanna said in a statement today that the policemen are watching over the protection of the nation’s security and capabilities, and they have played historical roles since the anniversary of the Battle of Ismailia in 1952, in which they refused to surrender their weapons and were despondent in the face of the English occupation, adding: We congratulate Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior on that occasion, and we pray to the brave policemen that May God protect them from the treachery of extremist terrorist groups that, without their sacrifices, would pay the homeland much of its security and stability
Hanna added: We also congratulate the masses of Egyptians on the anniversary of the 25th of January revolution, which represented a cry of anger in the face of injustice and tyranny, after which the modern Egyptian history has changed, affirming: We thank God for the great strides that Egypt has made in the fields of social, economic and political development thanks to the boom led by President Abdel Fattah Sisi in all field.
Hanna concluded: We pray to Egypt that God will grant it security and stability and that it will continue its development process and support youth and national projects.
