The Archbishop congratulates President El-Sisi and senior state officials on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha
Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Episcopal/Anglican Province of Alexandria, sent telegrams of congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Major General Khaled Abdel-Aal, Governor of Cairo, and Counselor Hanafi El-Gabaly, Speaker of Parliament, on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.
The text of the telegram stated: On my own behalf and on behalf of the bishops, priests and people of the Province of Alexandria of the Episcopal/ Anglican Church in Egypt, I extend my sincere congratulations and wishes on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, may God bring it back to you and the people of Egypt with blessings.
Bishop Samy said: We pray to God Almighty to end this pandemic that threatens the peoples of the world. And save Egypt and its people from all evil.
It is worth noting that the Archbishop congratulated Islamic leaders and headed a church delegation to congratulate the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Dr. Shawky Allam, Mufti of the Republic, Dr. Muhammad Shama, Secretary-General of the Egyptian Family House, Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Gomaa, Minister of Endowments, and Dr. Nazir Muhammad Ayyad, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy.
