The Episcopal/Anglican Cathedral of All Saints began shortly before the Holy Easter Mass presided over by Dr. Mouneer Hanna, Archbishop of the province of Alexandria.
As part of the Easter ritual, the Archbishop called all the faithful to begin the prayer of preparation after the cathedral choir sang, “Christ is Risen Today”
While Hanna called on all attendees to remind Corona patients in hospitals in their prayers today and to offer condolences to those who lost their loved ones in light of this dreaded pandemic
In the prayer of preparation, the attendees echoed the general confession:
“God Almighty for all things, our Heavenly Father, we confess that we have sinned against you and other people in thought, word, and deed. We truly regret all our sins and repent to you for what we did from them out of ignorance or weakness or intentionally. Our predecessor and blessings are upon us in the future to serve you always in newness of life in honor and glorification of your name through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
The Episcopal/Anglican Church had begun the Easter Mass at All Saints Cathedral in Zamalek in both Arabic and English to serve its foreign citizens.
