The Archbishop: a meeting to discuss the preparations for Christmas in light of the developments in Corona
Dr. Mouneer Hanna, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria of the Episcopal/Anglican Church called for a meeting of the Executive Council of the Diocese of Egypt to discuss the Christmas preparations in light of the second wave of the Coronavirus
Hanna said in a statement today: We will meet next Saturday to discuss how to celebrate Christmas Eve in our various churches in light of the increasing number of cases of Covid-19 virus known as Corona, pointing out that the meeting is held in a large hall where the church takes into account the measures of social distancing among the attendees
The Archbishop of the Episcopal/Anglican Church explained that the meeting includes an explanation of the recommendations of the representatives of the World Health Organization who have attended the Archbishop’s meetings with the Archbishop of Canterbury in the past weeks.
Hanna stressed that the Episcopal/Anglican Church is keen on the health and safety of its parishes, as well as its social responsibility towards the issue of the spread of the pandemic, which contributes to treating its damages through its various medical and community institutions.
