EpiscoCare: Building the capacity of volunteers in community centers

The Episcopal Care Organization for Social Services (Episcocare) organized workshops to train volunteers in community centers in Ain Shams, Ezbet Al Nakhl in Cairo Governorate, and Al-Tawabek in Giza and Al-Ras Al-Sawda in Alexandria, with the participation of 40 young men and women.

The Episcopal/Anglican Church stated in a statement today: The workshops included the presentation of the developmental and educational programs that the foundation conducts to serve the community through the centers, in addition to presenting the child protection policy that volunteers follow in the foundation while they participate in the activities of working with children.

On his behalf, Dr. Maged Moussa, Director of the Episcopal Care Foundation, explained: The Foundation provides, through its development centers, opportunities to build the capacities of youth and volunteer work through various activities in working with children, women, and poor families in the targeted communities.

The Episcopal Care organization for Social Services (Episcocare) is the Samaritan arm of the Episcopal/ Anglican Church in Egypt. The Foundation manages the development and social services centers and institutions of the Episcopal/Anglican Church in Egypt.
