                                        Election of the Coadjuctor Bishop of the Diocese of Egypt

 

Dear brothers and sisters,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This is to inform you that we received a Mandate from the Anglican Province of Jerusalem and the Middle East to start the process of election of the Coadjuctor Bishop of the Diocese of Egypt.

The process will be as follows:

20th February – 4th March: receiving nominations

4st – 10th March: examining the proposed candidates

12th – 18th March: receiving any complaints from excluded proposed candidates

19th – 24th March: examining the complaints

25th March: announcement of the final list of candidates.
Sending CVs about every candidate to all members listed in the Electoral Roll.

21st – 23rd April: Electoral Synod will meet in Cairo to elect the Coadjuctor Bishop.

According to the Diocesan Constitution, the Nomination Committee will be chaired by Bishop Kuan Kim Seng, the Area Bishop of the Horn of Africa, and members of the Committee will be: Archdeacon Emad Basilious, Reverend Steven Griffin, Dr. Hoda Gindi, and Chancellor of the Diocese, Mr. Fouad Michael.
