El-Manara School for Children with Disabilities in Menouf – affiliated to the Episcopal/Anglican Church organized a training day on candle making, with the participation of 10 children under the supervision of the center’s teachers, taking into account the precautionary measures and social distancing in light of the emerging Coronavirus.
On her behalf, Janet Shamae, director of the center – in a statement she said: The children were trained on how to properly handle the materials used in the manufacture of wax through simplified methods and teach them ways to combine colors with wax, adding: The children were happy and happy with their participation in the training and seeing the candles in front of them in cheerful colors.
El-Manara Center for Children with Disabilities in Menouf works to provide educational programs for children with disabilities in Menouf city and its surroundings to improve their academic, social, and personal skills, as well as provide support to their parents.
El-Manara Center is affiliated with the Episcopal Care Corporation for Social Services (Episcocare), which is the Samaritan’s arm of the Episcopal/Anglican Church in Egypt.
In the year 2003, the Foundation was officially registered with the Ministry of Social Solidarity to support people with special needs and provide them with rehabilitation and education services, after the church noticed the lack of these services in the city of Menouf.
