Archbishop of the Episcopal Church ordained new priests

Dr Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Episcopal/Anglican Province of Alexandrian, inaugurated the first sessions of the Synod of the Diocese of the Horn of Africa, which was held in the city of Assosa, Ethiopia, with the prayers of the Divine Liturgy and Holy Communion In the presence of Bishop Anthony Paul, Assistant Bishop, Dr. Rev. Gedi and Dean of the region Dean Mark in Asusa.

During the days of the Synod, the Archbishop prayed the Mass of the ordination of Deacon Gabriel Gott and Deacon Stephen Edway to become pastors of the Archdiocese of the Horn of Africa and ordination of the lay servant David Baring as a deacon in the Episcopal Church.

The archbishop met with the members of the Synod to talk about the administrative matters of the Church in the Asusa region, in addition to reviewing the latest developments in the ministry and parishes in the area and listening to all the requirements of the Church.

Worth mentioning that the Alexandria region of the Episcopal Church, which is headed by Dr. Sami Fawzy, Archbishop, includes ten countries: “Egypt, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Mauritania, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania, Chad, and Somalia.”
