Archbishop Mouneer: The floating of a delinquent ship is an engineering miracle and successful crisis management
Dr. Mouneer Hanna, Archbishop of the Province of Alexandria of the Episcopal/Anglican Church considered that the success of the Egyptians in floating the delinquent ship reflects the strength of the Egyptian will across generations and confirms the historical importance of the Suez Canal in the popular conscience.
Hanna said in a statement: The Suez Canal Authority managed the crisis with impressive efficiency and created what looks like an engineering miracle that constitutes a lesson in the science of crisis management thanks to the efforts of its sons and the competence of its leader, Lieutenant General Osama Rabie, who was supervised and monitored by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi until the crisis ended.
Hanna pointed out that the delinquent ship crisis revealed to the whole world the navigational and strategic importance that the canal plays in the global trade market.
Hanna concluded: We pray to Egypt that God will lead it in the procession of victory at all times and give its children the determination necessary to overcome difficulties.
