Dr. Samy Fawzy, Archbishop of the Episcopal/ Anglican Church, congratulated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the masses of Egyptians on the glorious anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, stressing that this anniversary represents the restoration of the original spirit of Egypt.
The bishop said in a statement issued by the church today: The anniversary of June 30 is a precious occasion for all Egyptians, especially Christians who fought a battle for existence against groups that aimed to change the Egyptian identity and spirit.
Archbishop Samy stressed that Egypt entered a new era after this date, where President Sisi led a comprehensive development renaissance, from which the Egyptian churches were not far from, as the church’s relationship with the state changed completely and the country became on the path of citizenship.
The Archbishop sent his congratulations to the Egyptian army, which protected the country and is still fighting fierce battles against terrorism, as well as the Egyptian police that protects the country’s security, as well as the masses of Egyptians who confronted the evil and terrorist groups.
