Yesterday, Friday June 8,Gusour Culture Center hosted Arabic Musical Concert, in which; Quattro strings & Oud players “Michael Oncy” and “Fady Ezat” played a collection of the most famous pieces written by the most famous composers of the Middle East, e.g. Farid El-Atrash, Mohamed Abd El-Wahab, Omar Khairat, etc. The string orchestra ended their musical evening by playing a piece dedicated to them by the great musician “Rageh Dawoud”, professor at the Conservator. At the Finale, Professor “Rageh Dawoud” joined the orchestra to play “The Passacalia”, which happens to be one of his master pieces. Remarkably, the concert attracted a huge crowed of both genders from different backgrounds and nationalities.
Following the concert, Bishop Mouneer honored the great musician, Professor “Rageh Dawoud”, for his creative musical pieces, offering him “The Armor of the Diocese” affirming the importance of music to raise human emotions and civilization.
